Weekly group therapy starting in June 2025!

  • Group Play Therapy - Ages 4-6

Looking for ways to help prepare your child for PreK or Kindergarten? Join our Group Play Therapy sessions designed specifically for kids ages 4-6. In our small groups of 2-3 children, our licensed therapists use child-centered play therapy techniques to help your little one explore and express their feelings in a safe and supportive environment. Through play, they'll learn valuable skills to navigate challenges, build social connections, and foster emotional resilience.

These groups will be conducted around the availability of families.

  • Brick Builders - Ages 6-8

Through the creative medium of LEGO®, combined with art and play therapy techniques, children will embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth. In these engaging sessions, they'll not only explore emotional regulation, mindfulness, and problem-solving but also cultivate a growth mindset, enhance communication skills, and master social navigation. Join us as we build a foundation for resilience and empowerment, one LEGO® brick at a time!

FAQs about our Summer Group Counseling

What is group counseling or group therapy?

Group therapy is a process of understanding more about yourself and others in a safe environment. These sessions will be led by licensed counselors who specialize in working with children and teens. This will be an excellent opportunity for your child to grow and build their skills in a supportive environment while also practicing social navigation with their peers.

How long are the group counseling sessions?

Each session lasts approximately 50–60 minutes and will be held on a weekly basis. Groups will last 8-10 weeks. We ask group members to commit to attending for the full duration of the summer group.

What ages can participate?

Groups will be divided by age and developmental needs, serving children and teens ages 4–17. We also have a group just for parents of children ages 3-8 years old.

What is the cost of group counseling?

Group fees vary by offering, but typically range from $40 to $60 per session. Each group is led by a licensed counselor, and group therapy provides a more affordable alternative to individual sessions.

At this time, we are not able to accept insurance for group counseling.

Since space is limited and each spot is reserved, the group fee will be billed weekly, even if your child misses a session.

How do I sign my child up?

Please complete the form below. After we receive your information, our office will contact you to make sure the group is a good fit and to schedule an intake session with the therapist. We will also send you consent forms to complete before the parent intake session. During the intake session, we will go over the consent forms and discuss your child's needs.

What will my child be doing and learning?

Please click on the links above for more information about each group. Our elementary-age groups will focus on play-based and creative learning, while tween and teen groups will use an activity-based approach through art, games, and interactive experiences. All groups are supportive, inclusive, and neurodiversity-affirming.

Please fill out the form below to get signed up for our summer groups.

After you submit the form, you can select a day/time for a free phone consultation to talk to Aly, our Intake Coordinator, about the group.
